Update: Suspect in Pot Collective Robbery Turns Himself in

Wanted by police: Joshua Don Wright

On Thursday, September 15, 2011, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers and investigators of the Redding Police Department responded to the “Trusted Friends” marijuana collective located at 1943 Pine Street for an armed robbery.

Employees at the business reported that two male subjects entered the business and that one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded cash and marijuana from the employees before fleeing from the business. A check of the area was unsuccessful in locating the suspects.

One of the suspects is described as a light skinned black male with his face concealed and carrying an unknown handgun, which was pointed at the employees. He is approximately 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, wearing a dark jacket and green plaid pajama style pants.

The second suspect is described as being a black male, also with his face concealed, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark jacket and baggy blue pants. Both suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Several witnesses were contacted and interviewed by officers and investigators during this investigation. The possibility that this robbery could be connected to other robberies of marijuana collectives is being investigated at this time, however, is yet to be determined.

One suspect has been identified as Joshua Don Wright, 19 years, of Redding. He is a black male adult, 5 foot 6 inches tall and approximately 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Joshua Wright is wanted in connection with this robbery and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information as to his location is asked to contact the Redding Police Department immediately.

  2. Just curious... does rmv have a k9 fetish?

    • Thank you for asking "Insanity Prevails". :-)

Not a fetish in this OLD MAN, but i do love

GOD, MY WIFE, MY FAMILY, and true JUSTICE

for those who deserve it! :-)

  3. I hate to see them get caught...they, in my humble opinion, were doing a public service.

  4. Seems this young man keeps finding himself in trouble here in Shasta County.....first the stolen vehicle back in 2010, then the parking garage beating, now robbing a marijuana collectives...time for Mr. Wright to go away for awhile to the big house!!

  5. You'll have to excuse Josh Knight. He has no house training. He's been taught to be a bully with a gun in his hand to get his selfish self- centered way.

No doubt he'll learn more bulling, thiefing and selfish ways in High Desert State Prison. They have experts there to teach him even more things to do to committ even more crimes to continue a wonderful life of crime and excitement.

And hey Josh. you don't want to miss your next visit to your hometown courthouse to appear before a local superior court judge who'll treat you real nice and light hearted as he sends your butt back to the joint.

But then, it's better than living on the street. Three hots and a cot.
