California Artists John N. Stewart and Jane M. Belden are having a 10-year art show reunion at The Highland Art Center in Weaverville, California for the month of August, with an opening Saturday.

Jane and John have been creating art for a combined total of 100 years or more. John is a former Disney artist and worked for 25 years for various film studios painting sets, portraits, murals and production illustration.

Jane has been active in the arts since the early 60s and has owned art businesses in Weaverville since the early 70s. John calls his sister the “mayor” of this small town. She is on the board of the Trinity Arts Council, and directs and produces theatrical productions on occasion. She also writes a weekly arts and entertainment column for the town paper. This show is a 10-year reunion of Jane and John at the Highland – they did it in 2001.
