Redding Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Pot Collective

On Thursday, July 7, 2011, at 6:18 p.m., the Redding Police Department received a report of an armed robbery at Northern Patients Group (a medicinal marijuana collective), in the 11000 block of Rhyolite Drive. Officers arrived at 6:20 p.m. and found the suspects had already fled. Numerous officers, including a police K-9 team, conducted a search for the suspects, but did not locate them.

Collective employees Hannelore Lewis, 31 years of Millville, and Andrew Lewis, 28 years of Millville, were in the business when two men entered. One of the men brandished a handgun and ordered the employees to place cash into a backpack and marijuana into a duffel bag. The suspects then fled the business.

The suspects were described as:

Suspect #1: Black male, 20-30 years old, 6’, 165 lbs, wearing baggy, dark clothes, a dark mask (possibly a ski mask), and gloves. This suspect had a dark backpack and the handgun.

Suspect #2: White male, 20-30 years, 6’, 165 lbs., wearing a light colored hoodie, dark pants, a dark mask (possibly a ski mask), and bandanas. This suspect had a black duffel bag.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Redding Police Department Investigations Division at (530) 225-4214.

  1. We can expect a lot more of that. Why so many cellectives? Could be a money maker? This is for money, money, money.
