Today’s Sketch: Dodgers vs. Giants, Cont.

The last series between the two rivals this season gets underway tonight at Dodger Stadium. Series Highlight: Saturday’s game featuring Brad Penny’s return to L.A., where he will be booed mercilessly. The Quitter dogged it his last couple of seasons as a Dodger and was not asked back. Now he holds a grudge. Ain’t that a kick in the head? I figure he owes the Dodgers a few million bucks in undeserved salary he was paid. But karma being what it is, he ends up a Giant. That’ll teach him!
*All iconography referring to Bonds has been systematically removed from AT&T Park, sort of like Stalin’s statue… or Saddam’s.
Hey, Giant Fans! You know, I kid because I love. See you in October. Oops, sorry.

Oh, sorry, J-Lou… I didn’t recognize you in that panda suit. Well, despite my faux pas, lets play the games anyway and see what happens. I think we’re up for this series. But, I’ve been wrong before. Lots of times.

The baseball gods have smiled upon us all season and will continue to do so… fear not, my little Blue Crew, good shall triumph over evil.
But, if we drop the series, I will personally grovel at the feet of St. Lasorda and beg his mercy and forgiveness. I mean it.

Oh, Phil, I thought of you as I was sitting in the stands in S.F. last Saturday night doing a slow excruciating burn, with all those gleeful blue-tongued lizards yippin’ it up in the bleachers. I agree with you about Bonds, though. I am only just this year starting to return to that stadium, as the stench of his presence is beginning to dissipate..now they’ve got Lincecum and that Panda-dude, and things are getting better all the time.
LET’S SWEEP IN L.A. THIS WEEKEND, EH? VIVA LOS GIGANTES!!
The cartoon IS funny, though…

Is there anyway for both these teams to lose?
Sincerely, a Rockies fan.

Jim,
Rockies have it easy, Diamondbacks this series! Come on, the Diamondbacks already have the winter beards growing, I even think the bat boy is starting to collect their gear!

Phil,
Should I be honored that my name was included? Where is Joe Morgan, Bobby Thompson, Jack Clark and Brain Johnson. Oh yes they are remebering when they CRUSHED the Dodgers hopes. So who will it be this year? Panda, Benji, Eugenio? Not sure, but it ain’t over yet.

Yea, now there are two Dodger fans. Of course I was also rooting for the Rockies, but our friends, the Gigantes, (had to beat them). Of course all is fair in love and baseball. The A’s kind of did-in the Rangers, but the Rangers have three of their best out of the lineup. I will watch the games tonight and think positive — go Dodgers!

OK, OK, we lost the first one. I should have known better than to incite the Whammy. I’m sorry, Tommy, I’ve learned my lesson.
